Your information

Privacy & cookies.

This notice explains how we use information when you visit this website or contact WJD. It covers our UK and Irish businesses. Separate information may apply to a repair contract, trade-in scheme, customer portal or recruitment process.

1. Who we are

WJD Repairs Limited, registered in England and Wales (09544046), is responsible for this website and initial enquiries to info@wjdrepairs.co.uk. Its registered office is Unit 9, Yorkshire Way, Armthorpe, Doncaster, DN3 3FB, United Kingdom.

WJD Repairs EU Limited, registered in Ireland (709998), is responsible for enquiries it handles for the Irish business. Its registered office is 208 Botanic Avenue, Dublin, D09 YP49, Ireland. Email info@wjdrepairs.ie.

Each company is a controller for its own use of personal information. Relevant enquiries may be passed between our teams. Contact either company if you are unsure who is handling your enquiry. Registered-office details are for company correspondence; contact us before sending any devices.

2. What we collect

We collect the contact details, company, service, device or programme requirements and other information you provide in forms, emails or attachments. Optional phone and timing fields are marked. Required fields help us respond; you are not legally obliged to make an enquiry and can email instead.

Technical information includes IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and security-check interactions. Campaign labels may accompany your enquiry to identify its source. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, device passcodes or sensitive information about other people.

3. Why we use it

We use information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, discuss services and maintain business correspondence. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to prospective customers, managing relationships, understanding enquiry sources and protecting the website from spam and abuse.

Where you personally request steps towards a contract or are a party to one, we may rely on taking those steps or performing the contract. We may also use information to meet legal obligations or for our legitimate interests in handling complaints and legal claims.

An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. The privacy acknowledgement on the form is not marketing consent. Where we separately ask for consent, we explain the purpose and how to withdraw it. Website enquiries do not involve solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who receives it

Relevant WJD staff and our website-hosting, enquiry-form processing, email-delivery, email-storage and anti-spam/security providers receive information needed for their services. Their supporting infrastructure and spam-screening providers may also process submission details, including email and IP addresses. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities for legal obligations or claims. We do not sell your enquiry information.

Reviewing your enquiry prepares a brief in your browser and loads the security check. Pressing Send transmits the details to our form-delivery provider for forwarding to WJD. A success message confirms service acceptance, not that a person has read the enquiry.

5. Overseas processing

Our providers may process information outside the UK and European Economic Area, including in the United States and India. Transfers requiring safeguards are addressed in the relevant provider data-processing terms, including European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Contact us for details or copies of the safeguards relevant to your information.

6. How long we keep it

We assess retention by whether discussions or quotations are active, our last contact, whether an enquiry becomes a customer or applicant relationship, and any outstanding service, warranty, complaint, legal obligation or claim. We keep relevant correspondence for those purposes and delete it when no longer needed.

The form-delivery provider may keep a separate submission copy for up to three years, unless a shorter plan period or earlier deletion applies. Technical/security records follow provider periods and investigation needs. The security-check provider states that technical data may be retained for up to one year after cookie expiry, longer for detected abuse. Contact us with a deletion request; applicable exceptions may apply.

7. Cookies and security checks

This website has no advertising pixels or general visitor-analytics scripts. Our form does not save enquiry details in cookies or local storage. The hCaptcha anti-spam check loads when you review an enquiry, not during ordinary page browsing, and may use cookies and browser/device signals for security and accessibility.

Its published cookie list includes hmt_id and hc_accessibility, with lifetimes of up to 30 days; other security/routing cookies vary. Actual use depends on browser settings and service features. Browser controls let you block or delete cookies, but blocking the check may prevent online submission. Email is an alternative. Our form provides links to the security provider’s privacy information.

We do not treat browsing or acknowledging this notice as consent to optional tracking. Before adding non-exempt tracking, we will update this notice and provide the required choices and consent controls. External sites have their own policies.

8. Your rights and how to contact us

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You may withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your situation, and object to direct marketing at any time.

Email info@wjdrepairs.co.uk or info@wjdrepairs.ie, or write to the relevant registered office above. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions or pauses, and may need to check your identity or clarify the request. Requests are normally free.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, Ireland’s Data Protection Commission, or another competent authority, including where you live, work or believe a breach occurred in the EEA. You do not have to contact WJD first.
